Serge Lutens - Ambre Sultan

The memory of a piece of amber wax found by chance by Serge Lutens during a walk in the souks of Marrakech, forgotten in a thuya box and rediscovered years later, marks a return to the identity and authenticity of raw materials.

"The starting point was an odorous wax found in a souk and long forgotten in a wooden box. Amber became sultanic only when I reinterpreted the composition: using cistus and later adding a note that no one then imagined: vanilla."
