Conceived in 1951 by Edmond Roudnitska around a spicy, floral citrus theme, Eau d'Hermès is the house's first fragrance. It draws inspiration from the evocation of a wonderful smell: 'the inside of an Hermès bag where the aroma of a perfume lingered... a note of fine leather wrapped in fresh citrus and spice effluvia', commented the creator-composer at the time. A historical novel inspired by the tradition and culture of the house, for her and for him. A powerful, sensual composition.
