Serge Lutens - Gratte-Ciel Collection Borneo 1834

An island and a date for the discovery of patchouli in Europe. Originally a natural moth repellent, before its luxurious scent was discovered by elegant Parisian ladies in 1834.

"Why this date? Simply because it was the year patchouli was discovered in Paris. At the time, it was wrapped in silk. Imagine a woman of that period wearing a patchouli fragrance: waiting for her carriage, dressed in a sable stole! " - Serge Lutens

«Higher and higher!»
While everyone was calling this new collection "signature," a series of questions buzzed in my head. Besides black, what other color could be attributed to a rejection?
What more radical line would be allowed to demonstrate my relentless will? Was it not the armor compared to the knight whose task in battle is to wear it?
The bottle speaks to me and says: «Do not alter the perfection I have within. The indescribable sensuality I enclose is already too eloquent».
"Go back to being silent," I tell it. «Skin is not glass and will confess what you love to keep silent».
