Clive Christian
In 1999, Clive Christian took control of one of Britain's oldest perfume houses, The Crown Perfumery, which had become famous 135 years earlier when it was given a unique recognition: Queen Victoria bestowed her crown upon it as an emblem of unparalleled quality and British excellence. Clive Christian rediscovered the original values of perfumery to create pure fragrances with complex formulas, using the most precious natural ingredients from all corners of the British Empire.
This vision led to the creation of the Definitive Collection – the perfumes 1872, X, and No.1 – declared by the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's most expensive fragrance.
